Rugby in Bloom 2017

The Rugby in Bloom campaign
is run by Rugby Borough Council

Rugby in Bloom 2017 was organised by Rugby Borough Council, with support from a host of community organisations, volunteers, businesses and schools.

Rugby in Bloom 2017
celebrated the 80th anniversary of Sir Frank Whittle successfully testing the first jet engine at Rugby's British Thomson-Houston works, with special prizes on offer for gardeners who imaginatively interpret the theme.



In 2017 WOLVEY Village won EIGHT Rugby in Bloom Awards:-

Gold - Wolvey Village Square - in the Community Buildings & Places of Worship Category

Gold
- Wolvey Environmental Group - Environmental Award
Gold
- Wolvey Baptist Chapel - in the Community Buildings & Places of Worship Category
1st
and Overall Winner - Wolvey Surgery - in the Shops & Offices Category
2nd Place - Carol Emery, Bulkington Road Wolvey - Medium to Large Garden Category
2nd Place - Joan Bassett, Croft Close Wolvey- in the Small Garden Category

Plus two Special Awards - Nominees in the 'Sir Frank Whittle Theme Awards'
