The Rugby in Bloom campaign is run by Rugby
Borough Council
Rugby in Bloom 2015 was
organised by Rugby Borough Council, with support from a host of community
organisations, volunteers, businesses and schools.
Entitled ‘BLOOMING MARVELLOUS’, this year’s Rugby In Bloom
Awards evening was part of the town’s RUGBY FESTIVAL to
celebrate England hosting the Rugby World Cup. Rugby Borough
Council built a World Cup Village at the Old Market Place in the
town centre. The Rugby in Bloom event was held on Thursday
17th September in the ‘FANZONE’ as a prelude to the start of the
Rugby World Cup the following day.
WOLVEY was significantly the most represented village
winning an unprecedented 10 Awards, they were:-
Gold
- Wolvey Environmental Group - for Wolvey Wetland in the
Environmental Awards category
Silver Gilt
- Wolvey Village
Square – in the Community Awards Category
Silver Gilt
- Wolvey Baptist Chapel – in the Community Awards Category

- Wolvey Surgery – in the Shops & Offices Category

- Wolvey Post Office & Stores – in the Shops & Offices Category

- The Blue Pig – in the Pubs & Hotels Category

room, four of the screens can be seen here above the bar area. |
