During November 2012 heavy rainfall caused severe
flooding in many parts of Britain and although Wolvey escaped the
worst of it. the water levels in and around Wolvey Wetland Reserve rose considerably cumulating in flooding
between 21st and 25th of the
The flooded meadow joined up with stream that
runs through the woodland walk, the woodland walk was
flooded, the river Anker flowed over the road at the Wolvey bridge,
in places the
water level in the wetland was up to the base of the boardwalk and the main pond flowed under the boardwalk.
